WEDDING AND EVENTS
- HOW DO I DECIDE WHICH ACCOMMODATION WOULD SUIT MY WEDDING?
A site visit is the best way! We are happy to welcome you to our property to assist in selecting accommodation to best suit your needs. Site visits are available on most Sunday afternoons from 2.30 to 4 pm – except on long weekends. Please contact us to arrange an appointment.
- WHERE ON THE PROPERTY SHOULD I HOST THE CEREMONY?
Our tranquil bush environment offers many stages and settings that are perfect for hosting your wedding ceremony. Close to the Murray River is our most sought-after spot – but you need to book in advance as the banks of the river are public property. Alternatively, each of our sites has enough outdoor space to accommodate a ceremony surrounded by the beautiful Jarrah Forest. Again, a site visit is the best way to decide.
- HOW DO I PLAN FOR ALL SHADES OF WEATHER?
At Nanga Bush Camp – we are well and truly out in the elements. This means making friends with balmy days and winter sleet – part of the magic of being out in nature, we think! In case of showers and storms, our bunkhouses have large indoor areas that can cater to both ceremony and reception. Our Currawong site has a covered outdoor deck. We recommend checking out the local weather forecast to plan accordingly.
- I’M A BRIDE, WHERE CAN I GET READY ON MY SPECIAL DAY?
We recommend booking an additional cottage to get ready with your bridal party for optimal space and privacy.
- HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUDGET FOR MY WEDDING AT NANGA BUSH CAMP?
We've known some super thrifty brides who have done it for less than $10k. We like to think of our Nanga Bush Camp as a blank canvas for all your DIY wedding dreams to come to life as you please, within your budget.
- CAN I ORGANISE TO HAVE WEDDING SUPPLIES AND GROCERIES DELIVERED?
Our peaceful, remote location means we cannot order for 3rd party deliveries. An easy option available is to click and collect from Coles in Pinjarra – a 27-minute drive away. You can also access a small selection of groceries from the local IGA X-Press in Dwellingup.
- WHAT PARKING FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE CAMPS?
There's plenty of space for parking available outside each of the bunkhouses. We request that you please be mindful when driving around the site. Due to dust and noise, please keep driving to an absolute minimum and respect our speed limit of 10km p/h.
- ARE CANDLES OR OPEN FLAMES ALLOWED?
Open flames outside – including candles in containers – are strictly prohibited. Contained candles are allowed indoors as long as all camp amenities and surfaces are protected.
- IS THERE A SOUND CURFEW OR LIMIT ON WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC WE CAN PLAY?
We ask that amplified music be turned down at 11 pm to respect us and other guests. However, you are welcome to play gentle, ambient music as long as you like. Unfortunately, that doesn’t include any Johnny Farham solos!
- CAN WE USE CONFETTI?
The only confetti we allow is flower petals or leaves/organic matter. Sadly, even biodegradable glitter can damage our environment and stick around long after the wedding’s over.
